The National Trust for Historic Preservation welcomes you to a free event to celebrate, discuss, and debate the mid-century and Modern heritage
of the Twin Cities and greater Minnesota. Many buildings and landscapes from the mid-twentieth century have started reaching the age of fifty—
an important milestone for their preservation. Minnesota boasts a fantastic collection of mid-century structures, landscapes, and suburban developments
that deserve to be recognized and respected.
Join us for an exciting event on Tuesday night, October 27, 2009, at Minnesota’s newest National Historic Landmark—Eliel Saarinen’s 1949 Christ Church
Lutheran. A panel of local experts will explore some of the most relevant issues affecting Minnesota’s Modern legacy. Join us for this lively discussion,
then stick around for the reception in one of Minneapolis’ great Modern spaces, while indulging in stimulating conversation, tasty local fare, and
music by DJ Jake Rudh. This event is free, but space is limited. Reserve your spot now by
e-mailing trustmodern@nthp.org.
